Colne Town Council presents The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in Colne!
There are lots of FREE activities and shows for people to enjoy to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen, being on the throne for 70 years! Don’t miss out on this very special occasion which will never happen again in our life time. We have FREE donkey rides, FREE face painting, funfair rides, FREE punch & Judy shows, FREE magic shows, FREE balloon modelling, FREE Jubilee Hunt, a massive Jubilee Market plus much more! Also, NEW for 2022! We have FREE circus shows, FREE circus workshops, FREE Jubilee photo booth, FREE bouncy acrobatic stilt walking shows and stilt walking Queen Guards!
For the first time in over 2 years, we will also be opening Colne Town Hall for tours of the building

Colne Town Council has received several calls and emails regarding the flag no longer being flown at the top of the Town Hall. The rope of the flagpole has become damaged in the strong winds we have experienced in Colne over the last few weeks.
Launch of Colne’s Design Code Survey

Consultation on Colne’s Design Code
Colne Town Council’s Neighbourhood Plan, which will drive how the town develops, has added a Design Code to help guide future development in the town. The Consultation begins on Monday 31st January and ends on Saturday 19th February.

Extra-ordinary Full Council Meeting
It has been reported that the Blues festival has been axed. This is incorrect. The decision made at the Council Meeting this week was to discontinue holding a Blues Festival in its current form. It was also resolved to hold a revamped and revised festival at the August Bank Holiday weekend 2022.
