The date for the 2021 Colne Grand Prix is still to be confirmed. This will be the 17th year that Colne has hosted this event.

It is with heaviness in our hearts that we announce that after much deliberation and taking into consideration the Government’s advice, Colne Town Council has chosen to cancel all events until the 1st September 2020. We are hoping that in 2021 Colne Town Council will return with a full and exciting event schedule.

The race is part of the British Cycling Elite National Circuit Series and takes place on a closed-road 800m circuit around Colne’s one-way system, making for a fast, exciting spectacle. As a round of the National Elite Series, the top riders in the country take part.

We’d like to thank volunteers like CDPP (Cycling Development Pendle Partnership) who work along side Colne Town Council as the race organisers, plus the marshals who from the myriad of cycle clubs across Pendle. We would like to thank the generosity of our sponsors, Fort Vale, Riggs Autopack and Unique Clean without whom it simply wouldn’t have been possible to keep the spirit of this British Cycling Elite Series race alive. All our banners were generously printed for free by Hope Technology, while Going Dutch and Cycle Sport Pendle donated all the Champagne and beautiful bouquets

It is wonderful to see so many people here in Colne enjoying the thrilling cycle racing in the centre of town each year.
