COLNE GRAND PRIX

The date for the 2024 Colne Grand Prix is Tuesday 23rd July 2024.

The race is part of the British Cycling Elite National Circuit Series and takes place on a closed-road 800m circuit around Colne’s one-way system, making for a fast, exciting spectacle. As a round of the National Elite Series, the top riders in the country take part.

We’d like to thank volunteers like CDPP (Cycling Development Pendle Partnership) who work along side Colne Town Council as the race organisers, plus the marshals who from the myriad of cycle clubs across Pendle. We would like to thank the generosity of our sponsors, Fort Vale, Riggs Autopack and Coalition Facilities Management without whom it simply wouldn’t have been possible to keep the spirit of this British Cycling Elite Series race alive.

The road closure will begin on Church Street (at the junction with Great George Street and will continue up Market Street (up to the junction with Keighley Road) then down to Craddock Road and around the one way system (to the top of Walton Street). We would recommend for people to try to arrive early for the event to avoid any disruptions due to the road closure. People can park on the Red Lion Car Park (behind Colne Library which can be accessed from Dockray Street) or on Cross Skelton Street Car Park (next to The Union).

It is wonderful to see so many people here in Colne enjoying the thrilling cycle racing in the centre of town each year.
