TREASURE OUR TOWN

Treasure our Town, managed by Colne Town Council, takes a new, but neglected, or overlooked area of Colne each month in the spring, summer and autumn and appraises it as a group while litter picking it thoroughly.

We don’t just log and report defects and issues around Bonnie Colne, we also highlight the positives and write to land or business owners to congratulate them on keeping their space looking tip top – credit where credit is due!

Our group consists of volunteers who very kindly give up just one hour of their month to come together for a Power Hour. Sometimes we are joined by members of the Colne Junior Council.  

As we keep records of all our interventions and we return to the same spots each year, we maintain a record of improvement which is gratifying to see.
