Colne Town Council has received several calls and emails regarding the flag no longer being flown at the top of the Town Hall. The rope of the flagpole has become damaged in the strong winds we have experienced in Colne over the last few weeks, and we are working endlessly to try and get the flag back at the top of the Town Hall.
The repair work is specialist work which needs to be completed at the very top of the flagpole, and we cannot complete the repair work until weather permits us to do so. We are still flying the flags across the road from Colne Town Hall, and for any celebrations we will fly the appropriate flags there until we can have the work completed.
In addition, you may have noticed that the Town Hall Clock has stopped working. The repair and maintenance work is underway to get the clock ticking and to have the bells chiming again and is scheduled to be completed in the next few weeks.
