COLNE — The highly anticipated Family Fun Day is returning to Alkincoates Park this summer, and Colne Town Council are promising the biggest and best celebration in the event’s five-year history. Taking place on Sunday, 26th July, the community landmark event has pulled out all the stops for 2026, serving up a massive lineup of completely free entertainment, live music, and interactive attractions.
This year’s event focuses heavily on keeping the day affordable for families, offering an unprecedented amount of free activities. Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of free activities including Mobile Farm Yard, Punch & Judy shows, Face Painting, and Comedy Magic performances without spending a penny.
For those looking for action, the event features an array of free high-energy attractions including Giant Inflatable Hungry Hippos, Inflatable Gladiator Joust, Duck N Run, Knight School and Archery. Not forgetting about the unmissable Knight Duel Shows, Dinosaur Experiences and our daredevil performances from Dangerous Steve!

Complementing the free activities will be a huge Fun Day Market, a variety of children’s fairground rides, and giant inflatables scattered throughout the park. The main stage will be buzzing with talent all day long. Local music will be well represented with live performances from the brilliant Lord Street Primary School Choir, Soul Gravy, Ally (Solo), and Andrew Gilmour/Giz.
Organisers have also introduced an exciting wave of new acts for 2026, including the daring stunts of Dangerous Steve, alongside dynamic routines from the Encore Dance School and G1 Dance.
“Our Family Fun Day is back again in 2026, and the event features a fantastic variety of entertainment with something for everyone,” said Mr. Nathan Cutler, Colne Town Council’s Events Officer. “Get the date in your calendar and come and join the fun!”
Unfortunately there will be no parking available within Alkincoates Park itself during the event. However, dedicated parking will be available nearby at Holt House. From there, visitors can enter through the top of the park, which is a short, approximate three-minute stroll down to the main event arena.
The showcase is brought to the community by Colne Town Council, with vital support from local event sponsors Macadams Rescue & Accident Repair and EFS Global, whose generosity has kept the main attractions free for all to enjoy.
