A huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather on Saturday (2nd March 2024) to help plant trees at Alkincoates Park. The mission was to plant 1,000 trees and the most amazing volunteers managed to achieve this!
The planting project was possible thanks to funds received by Pendle Council from DEFRA’s Coronation Living Heritage Fund to create a community woodland to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III. Funding such as this enables more trees to be planted in non-woodland locations as well as creating a lasting tribute to the coronation, for communities to enjoy.
