Peoples Choice Award for the best Allotment Photo.

This year has seen some truly great entries in the Allotment Photo Competition.

The judging panel have selected eight of the best photos to now go forward in the People’s Choice Award.
This year’s winner will be decided by a public vote.

To see all the photos and choose your favourite, go to the Councils Facebook page. You can vote by
liking your favourite in the Peoples Choice section. When the voting period ends, the picture with
the most likes will be declared the winner.

The Allotment Committee first ran the photo competition in 2020 and it continues to prove very
popular.

Allotments have provided a welcome refuge during the current pandemic with many new
residents now wanting the chance to take on a plot of their own. Being able to enjoy great open
spaces, grow your favourite vegetable crops and tons of regular physical activity to keep you
healthy are only a few of the benefits of having an allotment.

We have had some amazing entries to the competition this year.  They highlight the hard work and
dedication of plot holders who cultivate their allotments to the highest standards.

Entries have been received in all four categories including:

 Best Allotment Photo (People’s Choice Award)
 Best New Plot
 Best Young Gardener
 Best Colne Town Council Allotment

The public vote for the Best Allotment Photo will end at midnight on Sunday 25th July.  The winners
in all categories will be announced on 30th July.

Good look to all our plot holders who entered!
