The Colne Grand Prix’s headline sponsor cottages.com visited Colne this week to see the circuit and fly the flag ahead of the big race on Tuesday, 26th July.
Marketing Director, Nick Smith, and Digital Marketing Manager, Simon Norton, both keen cyclists, met Cllr Sarah Cockburn-Price, Chairman of Colne Town Council.
“We’re looking forward to a fine evening of great racing,” he added.
“It was great to show them the route which is the fastest in the UK series.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting the race and to be picked by British Cycling to host the final of the Men’s UK Elite Series for the first time.”
And the global holiday company, based in Earby, shares our passion for cycling and has a long history of supporting cycling events in Pendle.
Stage 2 had a dramatic finish in Colne seen by millions around the world.
Nick Rudge, managing director of the holiday company said:

7 p.m. Fort Vale’s Sprint for Success Race for talented up-and-
coming riders including their own young apprentice,
8 p.m. Colne Grand Prix sponsored by cottages.com
9.15 p.m. Prize presentations on the podium, including overall
winner of the UK Elite Series.
