COLNE Town Council has appointed its first CEO who will also act as the town’s Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.
New Colne Town Council CEO, Colin Hill, commented: “Having just enjoyed a nine month sabbatical travelling, I returned to this opportunity and immediately applied, as it seemed too good a challenge to miss.
I am honoured to be appointed at an exciting time for the Council, with many opportunities ahead.”
Colin has previously held senior posts at borough council level, most recently with Burnley Council, where he was responsible for Buildings, Markets and Town Centre Management.
“We were blessed with some very talented applicants for this high profile post”, explained Cllr. Sarah Cockburn-Price, Chairman of Colne Town Council, “and we were delighted to offer Colin the job. The interview board was most impressed by his wealth of relevant experience.”
Colin lives in Brierfield and is married to Linda and has three children and is a doting grandfather to eight.
