It is with heaviness in our hearts that we announce that after much deliberation and taking into consideration the Government’s recent advice, Colne Town Council has chosen to cancel all events until the 31st July 2020.
Chairman of Colne Town Council, Mary Thomas has said: ‘With the Covid-19 pandemic evolving daily it has now become obvious that for multiple reasons it would not be appropriate to operate this year’s full event schedule taking into account the commitments of our visitors, traders and performers attending these events as well as the Colne Town Council Team.’
Events towards the end of the year will be reviewed on a week to week basis and we will keep the public updated. We are in the process of contacting all the performers, venues and traders with further information and please bear with us at this time.
Colne Town Council will be continuing with the other services which they provide including maintaining Alkincoates Park, the playgrounds and much more.
