The afternoon of Sunday, 12th June will see Colne’s Picnic in the Park Event at Alkincoats Park to celebrate the 90th Birthday of HM The Queen.
We’d love people to join us for a lovely summer afternoon picnicking in the park in honour of The Queen’s Birthday. We’re busy organising an afternoon of traditional music in the bandstand and we hope to announce the full 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. programme shortly.
For children, the Town Council will be laying on fancy dress competitions and novelty races and there will also be a Punch and Judy man to keep them entertained. An impressive medal (pictured) will be given out to entrants on the day. This will be something to treasure and a keepsake of this special day.”
