It is with heaviness in our hearts that we announce that after much deliberation, and taking into consideration the Governments roadmap to begin easing COVID restrictions, Colne Town Council has chosen to cancel all events until the 1st September 2021.
The Council feels that it would be too big a risk to bring back our exciting events so soon and we hope that we can get back to our busy event schedule towards the end of the year.
Colne Town Council’s Event Officer, Nathan Cutler said: ‘Although restrictions are hopefully being eased over the coming weeks, it would be an irresponsible decision if we began holding events so soon after the easing of restrictions. The safety of the people of Colne is our priority and we don’t want to put anyone at risk until we know it is completely safe to host an event.”
Events towards the end of the year will be reviewed on a month by month basis and we will keep the public updated. We are in the process of contacting all the performers, venues and traders with further information so bear with us at this time.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the Colne Town Council office either by phone on 01282 861888 or via email to [email protected].
We would like to thank all those involved with these events for their ongoing support, and we look forward to hopefully being able to see you all at our Halloween and Christmas event later in the year.
