Colne Town Council looks after our beautiful town…
Colne is a vibrant and handsome market town in north-east Lancashire surrounded by a glorious upland landscape, including the famous Pendle Hill. Its unspoiled countryside can be easily explored on foot or by bicycle, and we are close to many of Pendleβs loveliest villages – such as Wycoller, Trawden and Blacko. Boulsworth Hill, to the North of the Colne, is also part of Pendleβs Three Peaks Trails, while the Pendle Way and Bronte Way pass through the area.
Colne has a thriving retail sector, with many quirky independent shops and restaurants. The Muni, Hippodrome and Little Theatre provide fabulous cultural enrichment to the town, which also hosts the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival each August. This is one part of a very busy event schedule run by Colne Town Council.Β Β

EXCITEMENT BUILDS AS COLNE PREPARES TO HOST MAJOR BRITISH CYCLING EVENT
Preparations are well underway for the Fort Vale Colne Grand Prix, which takes place in Colne Town Centre on Tuesday 25th July.
POPULAR BRITISH CYCLING NATIONAL CIRCUIT SERIES EVENT TO RETURN TO COLNE THIS SUMMER
The extremely popular Fort Vale Colne Grand Prix will return to Pendle this summer, taking place on Tuesday 25th July in Colne Town Centre.
Coronation Celebrations in Colne!
After such a successful event for Easter in Colne, we cannot wait to hold our Kingβs Coronation in Colne celebrations on Sunday 7th May 2023. We have an action-packed day for everyone to enjoy, we have lots of FREE activities to celebrate the coronation of King Charles. The Town will be completely transformed, with local residents and those further afield all invited to celebrate the momentous occasion together in Colne.
